Moving forward is always hard in that it means we are not satisfied with our current position. I am okay with that statement, and encourage you to think about it as well. We should always be striving for increased growth and improvement, no matter which direction that moves us.
So where am I going and what are my goals? Hahaha! Great questions! I am tempted to cut out magazine pictures and whip up a vision board, but I lean more towards the principle of Ikigai. This is a Japanese concept which means to have "a reason for being" and involves looking at several aspects of your life at once.
I love that the one I created looks like a flower or super Venn diagram coming together at one central point.
Previously I thought if I had the right job, found the right guy and had two kids, was active in my community, then BOOM! I would have happiness and fulfillment. Right? Nope. Looking at the Ikigai diagram, I have been missing out on my Love circle... I've been too busy with the other aspects of life and forgetting about the things which bring Passion and Mission into my world. Time for a change!
Do you see areas in your life that need growth?
