Organized

Having a messy home definitely leads to a mental mess in my case.  Does it for you?

I'm not perfect, and if you pop over to my house unannounced, you will see a stacks or two.  At this very moment, there are no less than five stacks of papers or crafts to be dealt with upon the end of our kitchen island and bench.  (Soon they will collect a small herd of dust bunnies if I don't get to them quickly!)

I know the best policy is to "Touch It Once", meaning to look at it, deal with it immediately (pay the bill), and file it.  Yes, that is a fabulous plan, but when you are arriving into the house at 5:44pm with two children who are likely to implode with hunger from having gone two whole hours since their last snack, and dinner is not even started yet... dealing with the mail is not my top priority in that second.

Trying to come up with a quick, healthy, something-young-kids-and-parents-both-like meal is my top priority. (See the Yummy tab and my Blog for those recipe ideas!)  Because imploding children will likely lead to more mess and great sorrow...

So how do we deal with all of the stuff?  Small piles or stacks are easily dealt with and put away, but it is the larger organizing and cleaning that takes more time and effort... Let us dive into those dark, scary areas.  Truly, they are a joy to tackle once you have a plan!  Time to pull your hair up and get busy!
